What is it?
Spiritual Hypnotherapy is similar to Clinical Hypnotherapy and Kinesiology... with a philosophy that the body, at some deep unconscious level, knows exactly what it needs by 'asking' it directly. A Hypnotherapist uses relaxation trance induction techniques to guide you to a state where you can access subconscious thought and feeling without being interrupted by conscious self talk. Clinical Hypnotherapists generally follow a script based on what reason you are seeking treatment for, for example, if you are having trouble with anxiety, the clinical hypnotherapist may guide you to a trance state and read you a script to allow your subconscious to replace the feeling of anxiety with a feeling of peace. This can be a very successful method of treatment and is recommended. A Spiritual Hypnotherapist will undertake counselling during the trance state, where you will be able to have a conversation about what you are feeling and experiencing as it is happening. You will also be guided to find the original cause of what you are seeking clarification on.
Dr Sigmond Frued, Dr Carl Jung.
Kinesiology is a philosophy that the body, at some deep unconscious level, knows exactly what it needs by 'asking' it directly. A Kinesiologist uses a muscle testing technique to 'talk' to the body and allow it to indicate how and where stress resides in the body, and what may assist the body in returning it to wellness .
Developed by Chiropractor Dr George Goodheart Jr in the 1970's, Kinesiology links western medicine with Traditional Chinese Medicine and the idea that the body, mind and spirit cannot be separated and, rather treating a symptom, focus should be directed to finding and treating the cause of a problem. It is the priority of a Kinesiologist to find the cause and investigate the relationship of that cause between the physical body, nutritional uptake, emotional state and energetic field. Then to apply correction techniques to the body allowing it to shift toward wellness.
Kinesiology can be called a number of things, such as Applied Kinesiology, Touch For Health... they all generally follow the same principles.
A Kinesiology session is normally up to 90 minutes and is primarily broken into three components. First an assessment of blockages and disturbances in the body, second an application of correction techniques, and third to reassess the initial blockages and disturbances found to monitor change. Following a Kinesiology session it is common that a client may be required to continue some correction techniques to assist in holding the change that has been created, or have a follow up session a couple of weeks later.

Your Spirutal Hypnotherapy Journey

Preparing for the appointment
Consultation
- Select your appointment time when you are going to be most relaxed and will be able to truly let go during the session.
- Select clothing that is comfortable and unrestrictive, and only wear minimal jewellery.
- Minimise stimulates and increase water intake slightly to increase qi flow through the body.
- Gather medications, supplements and herbs that you are currently taking or considering to take in the future and bring with you to your session. Also if you have any recent diagnosis, blood test results, x-rays etc that are relevant to what you are seeking treatment for, please bring those along as well.
Consultation
- We start your session with a brief consultation. This is to discuss your reason for seeking a treatment, review your medical history and select the best approach for you during your session.
- Your comfort is very important to us. The lighting and temperature of our treatment rooms are adjusted to help you feel more comfortable and relaxed. However, it is also important that you say present and focused during the treatment as we continue to test, discuss and apply correction techniques throughout the session.
Treatment
Correction techniques (selected using Muscle Testing):Correction techniques maybe applied on the following body areas: head, forehead, throat, shoulders, palms, back, heart, belly, lower abdomen, sacrum, hips, knees, and or feet. These areas will provide healing to: chakra's, organs, joints, lymphatic zones and the auric field. If there are any area's that you would like us to focus on... or not work on, that is absolutely fine and we can discuss this with you. You may also be asked to roll over or shift into a different position during the session so we can access different areas of the body. Correction techniques used may include one or more of the following:
- You will remain fully clothed throughout the session and be asked to remove your shoes and loosen anything restrictive, such as a belt, so that you can relax. It is also best if you remove any jewelry as it may alter qi flow.
- Depending upon the reason for your treatment, we may start with some postural assessments, so we can ascertain how the body is 'holding' itself.
- You will then be asked to lay down on our comfortable massage table, and we may also cover you with a towel, sheet or blanket for extra comfort.
- We will then undertake a 5 element assessment (based on Traditional Chinese Medicine) by testing a series of muscles and acupoints, asking you to gently resist pressure we apply against a limb while we do so. The response from the muscle tested, whether normal, weakened or too firm, is called an 'indicator response'. These indications guide us as to how the energy is or isn't flowing throughout your body, and what should be the primary focus for your session.
- We will also seek to find the cause of the symptom you are trying to address. This is a wholistic process and we will investigate levels of stress in your physical being, nutritional uptake, emotional and psychological state, and energetic field.
- We may follow a strict method of applying correction techniques, or may flow with disjointed corrections based upon what is being indicated as we go along. Corrections (see below) enhance blood flow to areas concerned and create new neural pathways in the brain helping to release blockages and feel comfortable moving forward.
- You are encouraged to talk throughout the session, letting us know your thoughts or feelings as they come to your awareness. This will help us know how you are responding to corrections and guide us to what is required next.
- At the end of the treatment muscles will be retested to monitor the state of change obtained from the beginning of the session.

Correction techniques used may include one or more of the following:
- Acupoint and meridian therapy: holding acupoints and/or sweeping meridians with finger tips, tuning forks, crystals or electronic devises to increase or disperse energy.
- Sound therapy: sound is simply a wavelength and by using tuning forks and singing bowls over specific points in the body it can shift how the body is resonating and responding.
- Aromatherapy: smell affects the lymbic system in the brain causing a physiological and psychological responses in the body. Organic oils are used in our sessions, and are selected via the muscle testing method ensuring an oil has been matched to what your body needs. We are well versed on physiological benefits of aromatherapy, as well as psychological and emotional.
- Flower Essences: created from freshly picked flowers which have bathed in organic spring water and sunshine, their vibration resides in the waters and is preserved with organic vodka. Drops of essences maybe applied to acupoints, waved through the auric field or a chakra, or ingested (non-alcoholic essence is available) to shift the body's vibration to match that of the flower essence and help create a positive change.
- Visualisations: by guiding you through a visualisation of your desired state, the brain creates new neural pathways to awaken possibilities that may not have been accessible on a conscious level. y
- Affirmations: are words that are said aloud or read to prompt the brain to see a situation in a positive way. Affirmations are created specific to your needs, and have a better impact if repeated for a period of time after the session. They are also great for goal setting.
- Massage techniques: stimulating tissues of the body can increase blood flow to an area, increasing oxygen and nutrient supply. Toxins can than be removed through the lymphatics and blood and passed naturally out of the body.
- Magnets: as the body emanates a vibrational frequency we are also affected by magnets. Place on acupoints, on a muscle or through the auric field can alter the way the body responds and interprets information. Magnets are recommended for short term use only under the direction of a therapist.
- Drinking water: sometimes the simple things in life are often the best! Our body is 80%+ water, and every system in the body needs it. It is easy through a treatment to feel a little dehydrated as the body uses extra energy to process responses during the testing.
- Talking!: sometimes it's just by talking through your thoughts can allow a shift, change or release
- Sensations may include: calm, peaceful, emotional, movement of bodily fluids, heightened awareness, increase in joint movement,
- When the treatment is finished, you will be offered some water while we take a moment to discuss how you felt, what we felt during, and what you may need to consider moving forward.
- Most clients feel at the end of the treatment more refreshed, with a more positive and balanced outlook.
- Allow yourself to be guided to what you need to do. If you need to rest, do so. If you need to be active, do so.
- Increase water intake and eat light healthy meals. As your vibration increases, toxins stored in the body are released into the blood stream to be filtered by the liver and kidneys. Increasing water, even slightly, can help flush these toxins out of the body.
- Refrain from discussing your session for 24-48 hours. After you leave, your healing will continue, particularly during the first 48 hours. So it is important to be able to reflect within, without interference (no matter how well intended it may be) from others.
- Continue with any affirmations, flower essence or essential oil work as agreed.
- Depending upon the reason you are seeking treatment for will depend upon how many sessions you require with most initially preferring two sessions, three weeks apart, then determining what the next step will be.
- Many clients also like to have a regular session every 3 or 4 months because it feels good and re-balances your energies.
